The Overview effect is the feeling of awe when a person in space looks at earth and goes 'Oh! everything i ever knew and everything that mattered to me is so small'
and i had a similar experience, not in space ( hope i get that in this lifetime ) but while looking at a data breach, all the 'metadata' the companies are storing about us. To put that into perspective there are people who identify as their data and the same data is out in the open to anyone who can understand english and can think.
So, after looking at the details all of them are logged which include the worst things you can think of, the rolling factor that this wasn't even a big tech just a small store. But what is did to me other than giving a fear and paranoia is the awe that everyone i know is nothing more than a line in a pendrive somewhere.
